“I was out back, where the US Marshals were holding me, while the jury was deliberating and they said they had a verdict and I started to think in my head, ‘Alright, what am I going to say to people, this is going to be the first time I’m actually going to speak in public.’ I started rehearsing what I was going to say and I felt really good. And then the verdict came down, and it was just complete, complete devastation.” – Gil Valle for The Gothamist on February 13th, 2017
