“It is amazing to me how many people in the world do things just because they are a good idea and they help others, just to be nice. Little Free Libraries are an excellent example of this altruism. They are simply little cubbies or kiosks where people place things for others to use, free of charge. The main purpose is to place books for others to take and read, but I found some that had canned soup or other food items as well. What is really amazing is that there are scores of these Little Free Libraries all over town.
I thought this was such a good idea, I took five copies of my recently published book ‘TILL DEATH DO US . . .” A True Crime Story of Bigamy and Murder and drove around town to place the books in the libraries. I don’t know if anyone will read them, but it makes me feel good that they are there for anyone to read, if they wish. I’ll never know how well it worked, but perhaps I’ll drive back to those five locations and see if the books are still there.” – Patrick Gallagher
