My Crazy Adventure With The Mangy Werewolf and The Badwig Girl
A WildBlue Press True Crime Original Feature Coming Soon
True crime author Steve Jackson was sitting in his home office in the Colorado mountains and working on his next book when a teenaged girl came to the door and asked for help claiming that she and her boyfriend had been in a car accident. However, she wasn’t alone. Crouching out of sight was her companion, Christopher David Sullivan, a 37-year-old career criminal with an semi-automatic rifle. He jumped out when Jackson offered to call 911 and demanded Jackson drop his phone as he leveled the rifle and charged. Steve’s “crazy adventure with The Mangy Werewolf and Badwig Girl” and the events surrounding this true crime event will be the basis of his WildBlue Press Feature story WHEN LIFE IMITATES ART, a sometimes frightening and often humorous account available in the Fall 2016.
From the story: “So yesterday evening my idiot neighbor is out watering his flowers, sees me and says: ‘Good thing for that guy he didn’t come here, this is a house of gun owners.’
Me: ‘Um, this is a house of a gun owner. It was 3 in the afternoon, a teen-aged girl at my deck door asking for help.’
Idiot Neighbor: ‘I would have had my gun ready.’
Me: ‘Really? Do you have your gun on you now?’
Idiot Neighbor: ‘Uh … well … no.’ Me: ‘Bang. You’re dead. And I rest my case.'”
From the author: Later that evening, I did go to my local watering hole where the story was good for a few rounds of free drinks to all those impressed with my escaping skills. So that was nice. But I still am PISSED that we lost two softball games. I should have shot the werewolf out of spite, but I was fresh out of silver bullets.
