From the author: “Readers often ask when my ideas come from. In this case, a dream. Yes, I literally dreamed the basic plot of THE DEADLINE, although I hadn’t imagined it would be a book. I awoke and wrote it down, mostly because the dream made me think that maybe I wasn’t the newspaperman I wanted to be. A few years later, I stumbled upon my notes and the plot of this novel unfolded before me. In that way, it’s a deeper story than the usual genre mystery.”
